Torn

I am torn between two

The longing I feel for you

The anger I feel because of you

I am torn between two

The memory of you

The resignation of not you

I am torn between two

The tears that want to come every night

The strength that holds them back

I am torn between two

The need to be near you

The distance that is a gulf

I am torn between two

The actions

The inaction

I am torn between two

Wanting you so much

Wanting me so much

I am torn.

Neptune Calling

Ever seductive
Ever powerful
Your call is constant
I stand at your feet
A slave.

Listening to your whispering surf
White foam gurgling at my feet
I want to heed your call
I want to fall at your feet
I want to walk into your depths
I want to keep walking
In to your welcoming barnacles.

I can feel your waters engulf me
And your tentacles embrace me
As I am pulled down into your liar
In your throne, at the depths of the ocean
An eternal sleep at your feet.

Though your seduction is complete
I will not heed
I will not take that first step
If I do it will be the last
If I do I will walk until I am yours.

Oh mighty Neptune
Why do you call?
It is not my time yet
I cannot fall, even though I want to
I cannot be one with you yet.

Though you call oh mighty Neptune
I am still in the land of the living
I walk amongst them
Your lure is not for me
not tonight at least.

No One Knows Me

My Life is an open book for those who would like to read
What you see is who I am
A free spirit
A lost Soul
A hindered heart
But no one knows me

My thoughts are secret
My emotions buried underneath my smile
I hide inside my castle
Where no one knows me

I am like a star in the dark night sky
Clear
Bright
Beautiful
But so far away
No one knows me

My life is an open book for those that dare ask the questions
